I am a driver with a disability. Can I drive your handicap rental van?

Wheelchair drivers are eligible to drive our handicap vans as long as they are able to transfer in and out of their wheelchair into the driver's seat and don't require hand controls. (We do offer hand controls on wheelchair vans for sale).

Is there a deposit to rent handicap vans?

No deposit is required for our van rentals. 

How will my credit card be charged for the rental?

The full rental price is due upon pick-up, and any additional fees (overages, refueling, etc.) will be charged to your credit card upon return of the rental vehicle. For out of state delivery, we require the full rental amount and the delivery/pick-up fee before the handicapped rental van is delivered. Renter is responsible for any traffic and toll violations incurred while renting as well as any “other charges associated with renter driving an AMS rental vehicle. Rental cancelation fee is $75 if reserved rental is cancelled within 24 hours or a no show.

Are your wheelchair van rentals safe?

Your safety is our priority. All AMS Vans handicap van rentals are thoroughly inspected to make certain you receive a wheelchair-accessible vehicle that's comfortable and reliable. Some rental vehicles are equipped with a backup manual ramp deploy feature, please discuss with our rental representative.
